My master’s thesis from UC Berkeley’s journalism school was a deep-dive into anti-woke consumer backlashes against diverse video games, using 2024’s online multiplayer game, Concord as a primary example.
The piece involved heavy reporting and data analysis — all of which was done remotely leaving no room for original photography. I studied under the journalism school’s multimedia discipline which heavily focused on graphic and web design, which turned the piece’s lack of inherent visuals into an opportunity to showcase my design skills.
All assets used in the piece are my original digital art and graphics made in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I interwove these assets with my reporting into a final website using HTML, which you can see HERE.
